Dear STEM School Highlands Ranch Families,

Over the weekend, we were informed that our High School Director Mr. Dan Hoffman had accepted a position to lead another charter school in Douglas County. While it is never easy to get the news that a member of our team is leaving, I wish him every success. Dan will be with us through the end of this week, so please join me in thanking him for his time here at STEM.

In his time as a member of our STEM team, I am grateful for Dan’s dedication to our mission and vision. As an integral part of our Leadership Team, Dan’s caring nature and enthusiasm for our students and staff will be missed.

As we move forward, Mrs. Anna Magle-Haberek will make the temporary transition to oversee the middle and the high school, while we look to fill the position of Assistant Director. The Assistant Director will work closely with Anna throughout the remainder of this school year to learn how to support our students and teachers.

Ms. Liz Dougan, K-12 Head of School, and Mrs. Jenny Johnson, Director of Student and Staff Support, will also assist Anna with any day-to-day needs that may arise in the interim.

We know that any departure of staff during the school year is disruptive, however, we are committed to making the transition as smooth as possible.

Thank you,

PJ Eucker, PhD, Executive Director

Message from Mr. Dan Hoffman

Dear STEM School Highlands Ranch Families,

I wanted to share with you that I was offered and have accepted a position as Head of School for another Charter School here in the State of Colorado. While I am excited for the new opportunity and next step in my career, I am sad to announce that this will be my last week working at STEM.

I have been honored to work here for the past year and a half, first as Assistant Director of Student Experience 6-12, and then as Interim High School Director. I have learned so much from our staff, students, and parents and feel fortunate to have had STEM be part of my life. I hope that my time as a member of your Leadership Team has been in service of the needs of this community.

I will remain connected to the staff at STEM as a resource and will continue to support our STEM Spartans for years to come. Thank you to the entire STEM community for your support and kindness. I leave STEM in excellent hands. Our admin team is ready to take on my roles and responsibilities and continue the important work of helping our high school grow and succeed.

Sincerely,

Daniel Hoffman, High School Director
