On October 7, 2021 STEM 7th and 8th grade students that did not opt-out, will take the PSAT 8/9. This assessment is not part of state-mandated accountability testing, but an opportunity for parents, students, and teachers to see what skills students need in order to prepare for High School and college. More information about the PSAT 8/9 can be found here. Students in grades K-6 and 9-12 will follow their typical schedules.

*Students with accommodations may have a different dismissal time. Parents will receive an email if this is the case for their students.
What to Bring on Test Day
- No. 2 pencils with erasers.
- An acceptable calculator with extra batteries.
- Drinks and snacks (for the break)

- What time should my student arrive?
- Please be sure that your student arrives prior to the testing room doors closing at 7:55 a.m. Testing will start promptly at 8 am. Once the testing room doors close and testing starts, your student will not be able to test.
- Can my virtual learner take the test?
- Your virtual learner must take this assessment in person on the scheduled date.
- What does my student do if they are not taking the test?
- Students in grades 7 or 8 who opted out of testing, should remain home and check with their teachers for the assignment posted in canvas. Regular classes will resume for P7 at 11:11 so your student could arrive at school for the afternoon.
- Can my 7th or 8th-grade student eat lunch at school?
- Yes, lunches will be held like a typical school day.
- I have an elementary/6th grade/high school student, how does testing affect him/her?
- It doesn’t! K-6 and 9-12 will have a typical school day. If your 6th-grade student is enrolled in a 7th or 8th-grade class, they will be sent to an alternate classroom for P3 and P5.
