Volunteer Information

As a group, our wonderful volunteers gave over 1,000 hours to our school, even during these COVID times – amazing! If you have not entered your hours for the 2020-21 school year, please do so by July 10, as that is when the school year will roll over to 2021-22.

Secondary Yearbook Information

Our yearbooks will be printed and shipped in July. Seniors received a signature page insert at graduation so that they can have a signed yearbook! Seniors will also have their yearbooks shipped to their houses while others will pick up their yearbooks at STEM. More information will be shared once the yearbooks arrive at STEM.

Join the STEM Team

The Secondary School is looking for innovators to join the STEM Team. The positions that we have open to teach in our Secondary School include:

  • Secondary 6-12 Online Teacher
  • Secondary Engineering Teacher
  • Secondary Math Teacher
  • Secondary Computer Science Teacher
  • Secondary Language Arts Teacher

We also have positions to join the Secondary Staff.

  • Secondary Dean (6-12)
  • High School Counselor
  • MTSS Coordinator
  • After-School Programming Assistant (Part-Time)

Locker Waitlist for 2021-22

With the return to five-day in-person learning next Fall, we anticipate that we will be able to allow students access to lockers. If you are interested in renting a locker for your student, please place your student’s name on the 2021-22 Locker Waitlist. The fee for a locker will be $5 Lockers will be assigned beginning on July 9, 2021, at 4  p.m. If your student has received a locker, the fee will be present in your Express Check-In fees. You will be able to pay for the locker fee through Express Check-In on the Parent Portal in mid-July. Students that have paid the fees, will receive their locker number and combination through email over the summer.

Parking Pass Lottery

We have a limited number of parking spaces available for students. Please place your name on the Parking Pass Lottery Wait-list if you are interested in purchasing a Student Parking Pass for 2021-22. The fee will be $50 for the pass. Students must have a current driver’s license to apply for a parking pass. There will be a lottery on July 8, 2020, with Seniors getting priority. All names must be placed on the list by 12 p.m. on July 8, 2021, to be included in the lottery.

After the prioritized students are notified that they have received passes on July 9, we will go down the wait-list after that date to assign spots on a first-come-first-served basis. Students who will receive a parking spot will be notified by 4 p.m. on July 9, 2021. Payment will be made through Express Check-In on the parent Portal. All fees must be paid in full to receive a parking pass. The student will be required to show a driver’s license to pick up the parking pass.

Passes will be available in the Middle School office starting August 10, 2021.

Registrar News

Please check Infinite Campus to make sure we have your current address. If you have a change of address please email Tiffany Klenke (tiffany.klenke@stemk12.org), K-12 Registrar, with a proof of residency. Douglas County School District and STEM School Highlands Ranch only accept the following legal documents as proof of residence:

  • warranty deed
  • deed of trust
  • lease agreement
  • tax notice
  • county assessor
  • notarized letter

As is a tradition at STEM, your class shirts for the 2021-2022 school year are now available for purchase! Please use the links below corresponding with your incoming class to order today! All orders close on May 5, so make sure to order soon. If you have any questions, you can email tavin.turner@s.stemk12.org.

Reminder of New Guidelines for Non-Medical Exemption Forms

As we prepare for the 2021-22 School Year, we’d like to remind our families on the important medical documents that will need to be completed. There have been some updates to the non-medical exemption forms. Please take a look at them in the Health Services section of our website.
