National Merit Scholars Named
This week, the National Merit Scholarship Corporation released the names of the third group of winners in the 2021 National Merit Scholarship Program. Congratulations to Joseph Parsons and Emma Slack who received the National Merit College-Sponsored Scholarship! These awards provide between $500 and $2,000 annually for up to four years of undergraduate study at the institution financing the scholarship.

STEM Hosted Summer Activity Days for Prospective Students
On Wednesday, June 2 and Wednesday, June 9, STEM staff held the first-ever STEM Summer Activity Days where prospective students could see first-hand what it would be like attending STEM. Students had the opportunity to problem-solve, collaborate and have fun alongside some of our amazing STEM students and staff members.
STEM Board of Directors Undergoes Annual Board Training
Our STEM Board of Directors took part in annual BOD Training with facilitator Jen Dauzvardis today at STEM. The team learned more about how a Board works together, what are the responsibilities of the Board, what they want to focus on moving forward as a governing body, as well as all the legal ins and outs of a Board. The team also discussed best practices for improving communications, as well as what can be shared and what cannot be shared with the community.
