Spartans Post Strong Finishes at Arvada West Durden XC Invitational

The Spartan harriers had another good day on the XC course Friday at the Arvada West Durden XC Invitational.

Despite several runners having to quarantine due to COVID protocols, the remaining runners raced well, with several season bests. Led by Olivia Staab’s 48th-place finish, the varsity girls placed 11th (out-of-12-teams). For the varsity boys, Lucian Kasperek placed 28th overall to guide the team to a 10th-place finish (out-of-14-teams). On the JV boys’ side, Andrew Hathaway paced the JV boys squad to a 10th-place team finish. For the teams to score as well as they did despite missing several key runners is a testament to their grit. Check out the results here.

The harriers are in action again this Friday at the Dave Sanders XC Invite at Clement Park.
