STEM Welcomes Andrew Gomez as New Secondary Music Teacher

STEM School Highlands Ranch welcomes Andrew Gomez to the staff as the new Secondary Music Teacher.  Gomez is excited to share his passion for music with his students, and is already getting involved in extracurricular activities at STEM, including serving as a judge for the upcoming ‘STEM’s Got Talent’ 2021 virtual show.

“Well, I will be teaching middle and high school choir, middle and high school band, guitar, music fundamentals, music production, and ensemble,” Gomez said.

Gomez received his undergraduate degree from Texas Tech University in Lubbock, Texas, and is currently pursuing a master’s degree from the University of Wyoming.

“I play a fair amount here locally in the Colorado area,” Gomez added.  “I play with a funk group, I am their lead tenor player, and before all the things that happened, we were pretty much gigging every weekend all across the beautiful state of Colorado.

Gomez says what excites him the most about the job is working with the students, who he says are very engaged in the challenge and are looking for new things to learn.
