STEM School Highlands Ranch welcomes Christina Wu as Secondary Assistant Director. Wu will be working closely with the STEM leadership team along with students and support staff in grades 6-12. Wu will also be getting to know the parents of STEM Middle and High school students, and addressing any of their questions or concerns.
Wu has a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and started her career as a software consultant. She then received her graduate degree in School Psychology at UNC, and has worked in that capacity for the past 15 years with Jeffco, Littleton, and Douglas County Public Schools. Wu also received her Principal’s License from Regis University and due to her mental health background, has a strong passion for supporting the emotional and social needs of any students.
“I believe my role is critical to helping teachers, simply put, teachers have the most impact on our students,” said Wu. “So, I believe that it’s important they feel listened to, supported, and they have what is needed to be effective in their jobs. I have a huge opportunity to help our teachers, so I hope to play a positive impact here.”
