The “Yucky Stuff” is making the rounds on our Fall sports teams. Most teams have too many sick players and coaches. Despite fighting through illness and injuries, our teams are representing STEM well. Opposing coaches have complimented our teams on their improvement and competitiveness. This is a true testament to the level of coaching and the commitment of our athletes! Way to go, Spartans!
Middle School sports registration is now live on the athletic website. Please click on the link and get registered as soon as possible. Remember that MySchoolBucks will send you an invoice to pay after you register! Your athlete must have a current physical to participate. There is a link to that form on the registration.
Middle School Girls basketball players – sign up now! Follow the link above and get registered ASAP. We will not know specific practice days and times until we get the information from the HRCA. All games will be played at Northridge Recreation Center in Highlands Ranch. At least one practice a week will also be there, with another practice day to be determined at STEM.
Girls Volleyball played a tournament last Saturday at D’Evelyn High School. The team went 1-3 while struggling with sick and injured players and coaches. The first home game of the season is Wednesday, Sept. 11, versus Skyview Academy. Good luck, Volleyball!
Boys Soccer visited KIPP Denver for a Varsity and a JV game on Tuesday. Despite playing through illness and putting up a good fight, they came away with a loss in both games. The team plays again on Thursday at Marcy Park at 3:30 p.m.
The Cross Country teams ran in a meet in Clear Creek on Friday. The notoriously tough race was even more difficult this year with a few changes to the course. The Spartans ran well and gained some important experience in navigating hard races. The teams run again on Saturday at the Liberty Bell Classic at Heritage High School.
