Weekly Parent Information Sessions August 2-6
To help our new and returning families be as prepared as possible for the start of the new school year, we will be offering five Welcome Back to School – Parent Info Sessions the week of Monday, Aug. 2 through Friday, Aug. 6 from 12-1 p.m. each day. Each session will cover important topics, outlined below, that all families should know in order to start the school year off on the right foot. Following a brief presentation on each topic, we will allow families to ask questions related to that topic. Each session will be over Zoom. We will record each session so that it will be available on this page for those who couldn’t attend.
- Monday, Aug. 2 (12-1 p.m.) – Driveline Procedures & PikMyKid (Elementary Families)
- Tuesday, Aug. 3 (12-1 p.m.) – Getting Informed (Attendance line, using IC, visiting STEM, Student/Parent Handbook, Fees, School Photos, etc.)
- Wednesday, Aug. 4 (12-1 p.m.) – Getting Connected (Communications Pathways, who to contact when?, communications at STEM, etc.)
- Thursday, Aug. 5 (12-1 p.m.) – Getting Involved (volunteering, donating, STEM PTO, STEM SAC, etc.)
- Friday, Aug. 6 (12-1 p.m.) – The STEM Experience (Enrichment and Athletics)

Please check Infinite Campus to make sure we have your current address. If you have a change of address please email Tiffany Klenke (email@example.com), K-12 Registrar, with a proof of residency. Douglas County School District and STEM School Highlands Ranch only accept the following legal documents as proof of residence:
- warranty deed
- deed of trust
- lease agreement
- tax notice
- county assessor
- notarized letter
Reminder of New Guidelines for Non-Medical Exemption Forms
As we prepare for the 2021-22 School Year, we’d like to remind our families on the important medical documents that will need to be completed. There have been some updates to the non-medical exemption forms. Please take a look at them in the Health Services section of our website.
The fee for a locker will be $5 Lockers will be assigned beginning on July 9, 2021, at 4 p.m. If your student has received a locker, the fee will be present in your Express Check-In fees. Students that have paid the fees, will receive their locker number and combination through email.

Frequently Asked Questions
The $200 fee is a technology and supplies fee that all families pay at the start of the school year. That fee covers the Elementary School Supply Kits and also covers license fees for programs that our Secondary students use.
Secondary Class Schedules will begin to be available for students and families to view starting the week of August 3. This will be the first week back for our counseling staff so please be patient as they work to respond to all questions.
