Dear STEM School Highlands Ranch Families,
Thank you for allowing our staff the time to work collaboratively this afternoon. Our staff met with their school-level directors and participated in data discussions. Each year, we interpret and analyze our students’ data from the previous year to set goals for academic growth. This time is critical to our students’ and school’s continued success. Please see this year’s academic calendar for future early release dates.
We value your input in decisions that impact our STEM Community. Last year, Douglas County School District changed the 2024-25 School Year Calendar. As a charter school in the district, we have the ability to create our own calendar. We ask that you please take the time to review the following three proposed calendars in the 2025-26 Academic Calendar Google Form and provide us with your feedback.
Below is a quick summary of options:
- Please observe the changes on each calendar and VOTE on the Google Form.
- Calendar 1- Our existing calendar remains the same but will differ from the district calendar.
- Calendar 2- We match the DCSD calendar. Students start in August, and the school year ends after Memorial Day.
- Calendar 3- We match the start date on the DCSD calendar and end before Memorial Day by extending the school day.
STEM Blast Off
Please mark your calendars and join us at our annual STEM Blast Off on Thursday, Sept. 19, from 4-7 p.m. PTO will have bouncy houses and activities for our students. Parents will be able to learn more about STEM School’s future, our new fundraising opportunities, and ways to partner with STEM to assist in their student’s academic growth. Please come for an evening of fun, build relationships with other STEM families, and support our STEM Community.
In partnership,
LynAnn Kovalesky, Executive Director
