Dear STEM School Highlands Ranch Families,
We are excited to announce that Christina Wu has accepted the position of Director of Student Support at STEM School Highlands Ranch. Hired as the Assistant Secondary Director in May, Wu will transition into her new role for the 2021-22 School Year, taking over to lead our Student Support Services Team.
“While it is always challenging when staff leave, it does provide an opening and opportunity for our current staff to move into roles that they have a passion for and this is what happened for Christina,” said Dr Penny Eucker, Executive Director. “Christina is so skilled and even in the short time that she’s been part of our team, she has exceeded our expectations. Her skill set is perfect to lead our Student Support Services Team.”
The Director of Student Support ensures the social, emotional and academic needs of students are met by providing streamlined processes, oversight and support for staff working in student support services. She will provide support and supervision of Special Education staff, counselors and mental health providers, Career Discovery staff, the Gifted and Talented Coordinator, the MTSS Coordinator and the ELD teacher.
“I am humbled with this opportunity and I believe with my previous experience, I have a deep understanding of the needs of our students requiring support from the Student Support Services Team,” Wu said. “I look forward to partnering with everyone with our focus on meeting student needs, academically, socially and emotionally.”
Wu will be a part of the STEM Leadership Team and the STEM Administration Team. Click here to view the complete Leadership Team.
