STEM Brain Bowl Teams End Season on a High Note!

STEM’s brilliant young minds wrapped up their Optimist Brain Bowl State Competition with outstanding performances! On Saturday, February 22nd, our 6th and 8th grade teams took on the toughest competitors in Colorado, showcasing their knowledge, teamwork, and determination.

6th Grade Team – 2nd Place in State!
Shoutout to Ishaan B, Lakshman G, Hafid A, and Avi M, who powered through the competition to clinch 2nd place overall! Their teamwork and quick thinking carried them through an intense final round—what an incredible achievement for these young scholars!

8th Grade Team – 4th in State!
Kudos to Jace K, Rhea M, and Annabelle L for their years of dedication to Brain Bowl! After an impressive 2nd-place finish in the morning rounds, the semifinals were a battle to the finish. Though they faced a tough loss, they fought hard in the consolation round to secure 4th place overall in Colorado!

A Huge Congratulations to both teams for their exceptional performances this season. Their hard work, perseverance, and passion for learning truly represent the spirit of STEM!

A Huge Thank You to Our Brain Bowl Coach! We want to give a resounding round of applause to Evan Voorn, our incredible lead Brain Bowl coach, for his dedication, leadership, and strategic brilliance in guiding our teams to success! Your passion and commitment make all the difference.

A special shoutout also goes to Daniel Kerwin, John Griffin, Matt Bellipanni, and Kyle Perret for their invaluable support and expertise. Your efforts help sharpen minds and fuel the competitive spirit that makes Brain Bowl such an exciting challenge.

Thank you all for your hard work and inspiration—our team is stronger because of you!

STEM Spartans Shines at DECA State Competition!

We are thrilled to share some incredible achievements from our recent DECA State Competition! STEM sent 15 talented students to compete across 8 events, and their dedication and hard work truly paid off.

Finalists: Congratulations to Avi T, Ryan C, Evan C, Kiki K, Brayden C, and Harman S for reaching the finals in their respective events!

ICDC Qualifiers: A huge shoutout to Brayden, Harman, and Kiki, who won their events and have qualified to compete at the International Career Development Conference (ICDC) in Orlando!

State Leadership Aspiration: Rylie took on the challenge of running for a position on the state executive board—an impressive feat, especially as a sophomore! While she was not selected this year, we are incredibly proud of her ambition and dedication.

SpartMart’s Gold Status! For the first time since its inception, SpartMart has earned Gold Status Small Business Enterprise certification, qualifying two of our students to attend ICDC!

These accomplishments are a testament to the talent, dedication, and perseverance of our students, as well as the invaluable support from our faculty and staff.

Please join us in celebrating our DECA team for representing STEM with excellence in business education! Special thanks to Colene Belisle for chaperoning this event.

Stay tuned for more updates as our ICDC qualifiers head to Orlando!
