At STEM School Highlands Ranch we put innovation at the center of learning to unleash the potential of all students and prepare them for an exponentially changing world.
Chelsea Bench is in her fourth year teaching first grade at STEM. Before her time at STEM, she taught in Denver Public Schools, primarily in kindergarten and first grade.
She graduated from the University of Colorado Denver with an Elementary Education degree focusing on culturally linguistically diverse education. Working with kids and teaching has been a lifelong passion of hers, and she knew she would become a teacher when she was in first grade herself.
She is originally from Florida but moved to Colorado in 2012 to be near her brother and his family. She enjoys being an aunt to his three kids, playing with her Goldendoodle, and spending time outside in the sunshine. She is happy to be a part of the STEM School Highlands Ranch family and looks forward to an incredible year of learning and making memories!
