Enrichment at STEM includes after-school care, clubs and activities.
Ian Broderick joined the STEM staff in August of 2020 as the Secondary Engineering teachers. He comes to STEM after working at STRIVE Prep SMART since 2016, where he was a course leader in Physics, a Core Teacher and an Advisor. Prior to his time at STRIVE Prep SMART, Ian was an Engineering and Math teacher at Basis Independent Brooklyn in Brooklyn, N.Y. He also spent five months as an instructor and program coordinator at Astrocamp in Idyllwild, Calif., and a year as a high school math teacher at IDEA Public Charter School in Washington, D.C.
His clinical experience includes two years at Columbia University Hospital in New York, where he completed his Nuclear Medicine and Radiation Therapy Practicum, as well as serving as Assistant Health Physicist.
Ian earned his Bachelor of Arts in Physics from Carleton College in June of 2009 and his Master of Science in Medical Physics from Columbia University in February 2013.
In his free time, he enjoys competitive gaming and soccer.
