Jeanette Simenson-Gurolnick

My Bio

Jeanette Simenson-Gurolnick joined the STEM Team in August of 2021 as the Secondary PBL Specialist. Prior to joining STEM, she was an educational consultant, instructional coach, STEM coordinator, and teacher. She is originally from Chicago, Ill., and taught for 13 years in Chicago Public Schools and three years in Glenview, Ill. She moved to Colorado two years ago and couldn’t be happier.

Before becoming an educator, she was a collegiate volleyball coach, software salesperson, and worked for 20th Century Fox. Her passion is working with kids and teachers, and she is a huge advocate for a strengths-based approach to problem-based learning and workforce readiness. She is excited to begin her new journey at STEM with her focus to support the school’s students and staff.

She has a bachelor’s degree in Communications from The University of Wisconsin-Madison, a master’s degree in Education from DePaul University, an Educational Specialist (Ed.S.) degree in Technology, Curriculum, and Instruction from National Louis University, and her Principal Licensure in the Educational Leadership program from the University of Illinois. She enjoys hiking, biking, traveling and skiing with her husband, two sons, and her daughter.
