Enrichment at STEM includes after-school care, clubs and activities.
This is Lauren Daniels’ fifth year at STEM School Highlands Ranch. She is a native of Colorado, having graduated from Colorado State University with a BFA in Art and a minor in Spanish. Her love of learning and desire to work with children inspired her to continue her education first through Regis University’s Teacher Education Program, and most recently through Miami University’s graduate program where she earned an MAT in Biology.
While participating in their Global Field Program, she was able to study inquiry-based and participatory education in areas such as community-based initiatives and wildlife conservation. This experience has ignited new ideas to bring back to the school and into the classroom in order to create fun and unique experiences for the students.
Her previous experience has included roles as a second-grade teacher, 1st-3rd grade reading specialist, and PreK-8th grade art teacher. Before she discovered a passion for teaching, she worked as a graphic designer specializing in print design. Her personal interests include painting, travel, and outdoor activities such as hiking, paddleboarding, and paragliding.
