Enrichment at STEM includes after-school care, clubs and activities.
Parag Patel joins STEM for the start of the 2021-22 School Year as the Secondary Dean for grades 6-12 and will be responsible for implement restorative practices in helping students understand behavior expectations, as well as working with staff, teachers and families to build a positive, collaborative culture at STEM School Highlands Ranch. Patel will also manage student supervision issues and enforce school behavioral expectations.
Prior to joining STEM, Patel served as an Assistant Dean and School Resource Officer as San Jose Storm Preparatory School since 2018.
During his time as Assistant Dean, Patel Ensured safety and security of all students, staff and visitors through the use of research-based responses to student behavioral issues and reinforcement of the School’s Code of Conduct. He participated in the Attendance Internvation team to support students with attendance issues, established positive relationships with students and parents while handling attendance concerns and was actively communicating with students, teachers and administrators on a daily basis in regards to student beavhior and school concerns.
Prior to working for San Jose Preperatory School, Patel worked for the Florida Department of Childen and Families as an Abuse Counselor and a Help Desk Analyst.
Patel has a Master of Education in Educational Leadership from Southeastern Oklahoma State University (June 2021), and is also currently pursuing his Teacher Certification in Secondary Social Studies. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Sociology and Criminology from Florida State University (May 2008), and also has his Coach Aaron Feis Guardian and Law Enforcement Certifications.
