Parag Patel joins STEM for the start of the 2021-22 school year as the Secondary Dean for grades 6-12 and will be responsible for implementing restorative practices in helping students understand behavior expectations, as well as working with staff, teachers and families to build a positive, collaborative culture at STEM. Parag will also manage student supervision issues and enforce school behavioral expectations.
Prior to joining STEM, Parag served as the Assistant Dean and School Resource Officer at San Jose Prep since 2018. During his time at San Jose Prep, Parag built positive relationships and used restorative practices to help students succeed personally and academically. He was also previously an Abuse Counselor and a Help Desk Analyst with the Florida Department of Children and Families.
Parag holds Bachelor of Science degrees in Sociology and Criminology from Florida State University and a Masters degree in Educational Leadership from Southeastern Oklahoma State University.
