Ryan Theret joined KeyBank in September 2020 as the Enterprise Banker for Colorado.
Ryan brings over 16 years of corporate banking experience with a focus on middle-market, large corporate and private equity structured finance lending. Ryan has advised on/closed over $1.5B of senior debt across 30+ transactions. His success stems from his ability to build long-term relationships with both clients and a network of trusted advisors. He has served a variety of industries including b2b service providers, consumer products, manufacturers, distributors, hospitality/restaurants, sports/fitness, retail, software, healthcare, contractors, logistics/transportation, and public finance.
Prior to KeyBank, Ryan led the Structured Finance Group at CoBiz Financial prior to their acquisition by Bank of Oklahoma and was a team lead for the Middle Market group at Guaranty Bank (now Independent Financial). Ryan began his banking career in San Diego with Comerica Bank and eventually joined BBVA to build out their de novo San Diego Corporate Banking Group.
Ryan is a native of Denver, CO having attended Mullen High School and received his Finance degree from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo. Ryan has served on the Board of Big Brothers Big Sisters of San Diego, was a Big Brother himself and served as a Finance Advisory Board Member for San Diego Sports Innovator (SDSI) Accelerator program.
Ryan’s interest in joining the STEM Board of Directors stem’s (no pun intended) from his passion of mentoring/coaching kids and helping to expand STEM’s mission and curriculum to other areas in the greater Denver Metro area.
