Enrichment at STEM includes after-school care, clubs and activities.
Sara has lived in Colorado for two-thirds of her life and would not want to live anywhere else! She went to school right here in Douglas County and graduated from ThunderRidge High School. She obtained her Bachelor’s degree in English from Azusa Pacific University in Southern California. During her time there, she ran an after-school tutoring program for middle and high school students. It was there that she first discovered she wanted to work with students and encourage them in their learning.
Sara started at STEM in the fall of 2012, and has loved being a part of the amazing growth STEM has experienced over the years. As Enrichment Director, she enjoys working with kids and helping to provide them opportunities to explore their passions and gifts, while learning new skills! She loves her job because, not only does she get to work with students from Kindergarten all the way up to their Senior year, but she gets to watch them excel in a variety of activities from Fencing to Drama to Athletics to Robotics! We have some of the best kids at STEM.
In her free time, she loves to cook, work in the garden, read, hike, and spend time with her husband and two children (3 1/2 and 1).
