Athletes are expected to be at all practices the week prior to a meet. If you will not be at practice for any reason, please email Coach Smith well in advance. If you know you will be absent for a meet, let Coach Smith know well in advance-it saves a lot of paperwork/changes the day of a meet. In the case of an emergency the day of/during a meet, use Remind. If you are not at practice the 2 days prior to a race, Coach Smith reserves the right to move you to a different race or remove you from competition for that week.
In an effort to help ensure the safety of athletes while at meets (tornadoes/lightning/time changes) we will be using the Remind App from here on. Click the button below to access the link FOR ATHLETES AND PARENTS to join.
Remind is used by many teams to communicate with parents, athletes, coaches, etc. In accordance with DCSD policy, if you would like to opt OUT of your student using Remind, please send me an email with “OPT OUT” in the Subject Line. If you have no issues with your student receiving information via Remind, then there is nothing you have to do!
