The 2023-24 Athletic year has come to an end. I couldn’t be more proud of our athletes and coaches and how they represented STEM. Our teams competed with tenacity and honor. They achieved success on many levels and earned both team and individual honors. We hosted the very first annual Athletic End of Year Celebration on Wednesday in the secondary gym. The following awards were handed out at the event:
- Freshman Athlete of the Year: Sarah Hathaway and Camren Irish
- Most Improved Athlete of the Year: Kylie Pautler and Sam Sarkissian
- Spartan Sportsmanship Award: Auburn Mauger and Alex Rogers
- Spartan Academic Team of the Year: Boys Volleyball – Average Varsity Team GPA – 4.21
- Spartan Athlete of the Year: Abbigail Hullinger and Tyler Munro
There were also approximately 50% of our athletes who earned Scholar Athlete recognition. These athletes have maintained a 3.8 GPA or higher for at least two semesters.
What a fantastic way to bring the year to an end. Good luck to our graduating seniors!

- Summer Registrations:
- Open Gym/Weight Room and Boys Basketball Camp(July 29-Aug2) are open (as is MS Coed Basketball Camp with younger athletes).
- Open Gym/Weight Room is open to ALL HS Athletes. Basketball? yes! Volleyball? you bet, Soccer? Futsal anyone? And that is just the gym. Coaches are working with STEM PE on weight room programs for participating athletes.
- Fall High School Registrations:
- Register now, and pay in August. Register so your coach knows you are interested and can contact their players if there are summer opportunities!
- Registrations for Boys’ Soccer, Boys’ Golf, Girl’s Volleyball, coed Cross Country, coed eSports, and coed Speech & Debate are available.

STEM has a new Athletic Website
Check out the NEW STEMSpartanAthletics.com website to get all caught up on the latest Spartan Athletics News and Events. The site includes news, scores, schedules, registration links, purchasing tickets online, and more.
Spartan Athletic Tickets Sold Online
Tickets for home Boys’ Volleyball will now be sold online through GoFan. Click the button to purchase your tickets online. Ticket prices are:
- Adults – $6
- Senior/Student/Military – $3
- Season Pass – Adult $40, Family $75 (up to four people)
- STEM Students and Staff are FREE with STEM ID
- DCSD Staff are free with DCSD ID
Volunteers get FREE admission! Passes are good for all regular season basketball home games. All tickets/passes include both JV and Varsity games on same day. Proceeds from tickets go to STEM Athletics to directly benefit our student athletes. Cash will still be accepted, but paperless via GoFan is preferred.
STEM Spartans on Video
Do you have family or friends who can not see their favorite STEM Spartan Athlete compete in person? The STEM Spartans Volleyball games will now be available to watch on a phone/computer/TV! Games can be viewed live or recorded (video on demand). This service is available anywhere the internet is available. Not only can you see ALL STEM home games, but any teams with the NFHS network we travel to are available as well! All home games, Varsity and JV are recorded. As a bonus, a portion of subscriptions are returned by NFHS to STEM Athletics to directly benefit our Spartan student-athletes.
