Come Tour Our School!

Our doors are open every Wednesday at 10 a.m. for tours. There is no need to sign up. Just meet in the Secondary School Lobby. We ask that you arrive about 10 minutes early, so the group is ready to go at 10 a.m.

You will need to have your driver’s license to have a visitor badge made. Because we offer the weekly tour on Wednesdays at 10 a.m., we do not provide on-going shadowing opportunities. Please check our website for school holidays, closures or other reasons the Wednesday tour might be canceled.

New Student Enrollment Process

STEM School Highlands Ranch accepts names for enrollment via our waitlist throughout the year. On December 1, we begin to pull students off of the waitlist for enrollment for the upcoming school year. Enrollment is based on grade level availability.

  • You will be given a 48-hour window to accept enrollment, so please be sure to take a school tour any Wednesday morning at 10 am so you are ready to make a prompt decision.
  • Priority will be given in this order: Founding families first, followed by siblings of current STEM students, employees, and Douglas County residents. These students will be put at the top of the waitlist.
  • Sibling priority does not guarantee enrollment if there is no grade level availability.
  • Due to waitlist priorities, we cannot release information regarding a student’s position on the waitlist.  Please do not call or email to request information regarding waitlist positions.
  • The waitlist is carried over from year to year. Names remain on the waitlist until they are placed for enrollment.
  • There are no admission requirements.
  • Once your student’s name is on the waitlist, no further action is required.
  • STEM School Highlands Ranch does not operate its waitlist like Douglas County School District Open Enrollment.

For questions, concerns or comments, please email us at info@stemk12.org.

New and Returning Students

Please complete the Intent to Return to STEM form by Friday, Dec. 16, 2022

Do you Intend to Return for the 2023-24 School Year?

It’s that time of year! We’re starting to prepare for the 2023-24 School Year and we need our CURRENT STEM Families to complete the Intent to Return/Not Return process.

This information will help our Leadership Team plan for the new school year as it pertains to budgeting, facility use, staffing and more. This process also helps us to know how many new students we will have openings for in the upcoming school year so that we can invite students off our waitlist.

Please complete the form via the button below for each of your CURRENTLY ATTENDING STEM students so that we know your student is either returning or not returning to STEM. Completing the form does not require your student to attend STEM for next year should you change your enrollment plans.

Current Families with Siblings Wanting to Attend STEM

Does your current STEM student have a sibling who is interested in attending STEM for the 2023-24 school year? Did you know that they have priority on our waitlist?
