What a week! Homecoming kicked off on Monday with the Powder Puff Football game. The Jellyfish came away with a dominating win against a scrappy Sharks team. There were long passes, a pick-six, triple reverse flea flickers, and sneaky trick plays. It was a fun game to watch! The cheering section was small but active, getting the crowd involved and coming up with catchy cheers. A good time was had by all.
Boys Soccer tied Nederland 3-3 on Monday, Sept. 16, and will be back in action on Wednesday vs. Mile High Academy at Marcy Park at 3:30 p.m. The JV team will play Skyview Academy on Thursday AT Skyview at 4:30.
Girls Volleyball defeated Nederland at home on Monday, Sept. 16th. They traveled to Poudre Community Academy on the 18th and made the trip worthwhile, coming home with a 3-0 win. They play again on Wednesday at STEM vs Ascent Classical East and then round out the week with a big Homecoming game against Aurora West College Preparatory Academy. The team also plays next Monday, Sept 30th at STEM vs Two Roads Charter.
Cross Country will race in the Dave Sanders Invite on September 27th.
Middle School Cross Country runs in the Goddard’s Viking Challenge on Thursday, Sept. 26.
eSports plays its next match on Thursday, Sept. 26, vs Valor High Christian High School.
Boys Golf has now played a few matches. The players are all improving every match. The team will play again on Sept. 25th against Addenbrooke and Foothills Christian at Foothills Golf Course. The team will follow that up on September 30th at Common Ground Golf Course in the CHSAA 2A Section Championships.
Cheer is busy practicing for their upcoming season of cheering at games and Pep Rallies. Can’t wait to see them in action!
Speech/Debate is also gearing up for their first season of competitions.
