It is hard to believe that the holiday season is upon us. We have much to be thankful for and many opportunities to celebrate as a STEM Community.
Thank You DCSD Voters
Staff received their first increased paychecks this past week. I have heard from quite a few staff members how this has positively impacted their lives and made this holiday season a bit brighter. The passage of 5A provided funding to increase licensed salaries by 9-11%, hourly employees by $2/hour, and admin and non-licensed employees by 7.5%. Additionally, STEM has set aside funds for increased stipend opportunities for coaches and employees who help with our extracurricular and Enrichment programming. Please see the special thank you from Mr. Kerwin, one of our HS History teachers. Thank you for supporting the educators in Douglas County and at STEM.

STEM Holiday Gift Card Program
Each year we offer an opportunity for our community to give directly toward making the holidays just a little more special for our staff through our Holiday Gift Card Proogram. This is an opportunity for you to make a tax-deductible donation, that goes straight to our staff in the form of gift cards. Last year we had record donations and were able to give our staff over $100 each. What an amazing community we have! Please consider making a donation.
New and Improved Spartmart
For those who don’t know, SpartMart is STEM’s school spirit store and is run by students and an advisor. This year alone, our school store has expanded into a new retail location and has begun revamping its merchandise and apparel. Check out the new holiday collection and come check us out at home athletic events. The students have more exciting new initiatives that they’re working on so be on the lookout for those as well. We have some amazing innovators here at STEM!
I hope you all have a wonderful weekend.
