A message from Mrs. McElroy, Elementary School Director
Dear STEM Families and Community,
Thank you to everyone who attended parent-teacher conferences. Our goal is to come together as a partnership to best support our students. I want to take a minute to wish everyone a wonderful fall break. The weather in Colorado looks beautiful next week. To all the families traveling, I wish you safe travels and hope you have an amazing time on your trip. I, myself, will be taking some time to enjoy the beaches of Hawaii. I look forward to the students returning and hearing about their time away from school. We have many events planned for after the break. Here’s what is happening after fall break.
Halloween Class Party and Parade
We will be celebrating Halloween on October 31st. We will have a costume parade and class parties. More details regarding times for the parade and parties will be communicated after fall break.
Thanksgiving Food Basket Drive
The elementary student council will be hosting a Thanksgiving Food Basket Drive after fall break. We will be collecting food to create Thanksgiving baskets for families in need. Last year we created over 40 Thanksgiving baskets that were donated to Doull Elementary.
Veterans’ Day Celebration
We would like to invite any veteran or current military to the STEM Veterans Day Celebration on November 11t, at 9 am. A reception for veterans and their guests will be held after a special performance put on by the 5th grade. Please RSVP here by Thursday, Nov. 7, or call our main office at 303-683-7836.
Book Fair
The fall scholastic book fair will be from Nov 11th – 15th. Students will have the opportunity to shop books with their class throughout the week. Please be on the lookout for more information from your classroom teachers. We will also need volunteers to help run the book fair throughout the week. Volunteer positions will be available after fall break.

- October 24 – DEI Committee (4-5 pm) – All are welcome to attend
- October 29 – Prospective Spartan Night (6-8 pm)
- October 31 – Halloween Parade and Class Parties
- November – 1 Professional Development Day – NO SCHOOL
- November 11 – Veterans Day Celebration
- November 11 – 15 Book Fair
- November 12 – STEM Board Meeting (5:30 – 7 pm)
- November 13 – PTO Meeting (6:30 – 8 pm)
- November 15 – Early Release Day
- November 20 – STEM SAC Meeting (5:30 – 7:30 pm)
- November 25 – 29 – Thanksgiving Break
