Summer Camps Opportunities

STEM School Enrichment summer camps now have their own tab on the Enrichment web page.
Just added – LEGO Robotics Summer Camp is now open for current 3rd-5th grade students (2024-25 4th-6th grade students).

Several spring elementary enrichment registrations are now open including chess, crafts, fencing, hip hop, poms & cheer, theater production and yoga. Opening after the break: Girls Who Code (grades 3-5) on Tuesdays starting in late January.

Join Canvas as an observer of your student! Many of the after school activities have an associated Canvas course where advisors post important information.

ULA Student Rocket Payload Competition is BACK!

The ULA Student Rocket Payload class is back again for 2024! For more information about the program itself. Mr. Jeff Dunker, a retired ULA engineer, and Mr. Jeff McLain, who is currently working with ULA, will mentor STEM students through the concept, design, build, and launch of the payload. Classes will start Monday, March 25th, in high school room 132 and continue to meet on Mondays after school. The payload launch happens in July. Registration is officially open. Scholarships are available for families in need of financial assistance.

Business Club Members Qualify for FBLA National Competition

Congratulations to all of the students who participated in the Colorado FBLA Student Leadership Conference. Thanks to Ms. Newhouse and Mrs. Bostel for guiding our students through a successful competition season. STEM’s Business Club members were well represented in the finals, with the following students placing top 3 in the state competition:

• Syna J – 3rd place in Health Administration
• Thomas L – 2nd place, Introduction to Financial Math
• Blake C-A- 3rd place in Journalism
• Shanmukha R – 3rd place, Securities and Investments
• Rylie C – 3rd place Client Services
