Our Prospective Spartan Showcase Night is the community’s opportunity to see what our school is all about. Our teachers and students will be on hand to showcase all of the different opportunities and offerings that are available to students in grades K-12.
We’ve invited families in kindergarten, first, and second grade, as well as students in fifth, eighth and ninth grade across the district with a postcard, but this event is open to any student/family who is interested in finding out more about our school. We’ll also be showcasing our Career Discovery program, which provides High School students with career path development and opportunities.
The evening’s festivities will start in our brand-new Secondary Gymnasium so we’re asking all families to please park on the West side of our campus and enter through our Athletics Entrance (8816 Barrons Blvd. Highlands Ranch, CO 80129). If parking is full on the West side, families can park on the south side of our campus and around toward the East side. Overflow parking is also available in our KOSON Schools/P-TECH parking lot located at 8920 Barrons Blvd.
The evening will kick off with introductory presentations by our Elementary School Director (Amie McElroy), Middle School Director (Maura Ridder) and our High School Director (Ryan Alsup) in the Secondary Gym/Theater. Families and students will then have the opportunity to tour the building and visit various stations throughout to learn more about the following:
Does your student want to get the full STEM experience? Consider signing up for our STEM High School Shadow Days using the form below. Students will arrive at 8 a.m. and stay with a student who has been paired with them and has similar interests until 2 p.m.
Beginning on October 1, 2023, STEM School Highlands Ranch has transitioned to the Douglas County School District Open Enrollment Tool for enrollment for the 2024-25 school year.
First Round Open Enrollment for the 2024-25 school year opens on Wednesday, Nov. 1, at 8 a.m. It closes on Friday, Dec. 1, at 4 p.m. Schools will extend offers of open enrollment based on space availability by Friday, Dec. 8. Parents can see offers in the EngagED Parent Portal on Monday, Dec. 11, at 8 a.m. and will have until Monday, Dec. 18, at 4 p.m., to log back in and accept any open enrollment offers. If you did not receive any offers during the First Round, you will remain on a waitlist for the Second Round of Open Enrollment, which opens on Monday, Jan. 22, at 8 a.m.
