Donations to STEMGives! on Giving Tuesday and beyond

This week we saw Giving Tuesday across the country and donating to STEM through our PTO’s STEMGives! campaign is a great way to help the school.
Check out this important video message from our PTO. Your donations will go directly to support our teachers, students, and administration in order to enhance your student’s overall educational experience. We are also able to provide out-of-school events for our teachers, students, and faculty in order to promote our mission of community. On Giving Tuesday, we asked the community to give back to our school, and we thank everyone for their generosity.  The STEMGives! campaign will run through early January. To donate, just visit this link and you will see some great options:

A PBL about saving lives

A creative PBL from Stephanie Hart’s sixth grade science class, where students are learning all about plate tectonics. Each group was assigned a different geographical region and studied the environmental risks associated with them, including earthquakes, volcanoes, tsunamis, floods and more. The groups build the area that is threatened and come up with ways to protect nearby communities.
