Amie McElroy, known as Ms. Mac by her students, joined STEM as the K-8 Dean in the fall of 2020. Prior to joining STEM she taught chemistry for 13 years in Jeffco Public Schools. During her time in the classroom, Ms. Mac prioritized creating a safe and rigorous learning environment by building positive relationships with her students and creating content that was relevant and challenged her students critical thinking skills. Ms. Mac has a strong passion for equity in education and will be leading the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion committee for the 2021-22 school year.
Ms. Mac earned her bachelor’s in Biology with a minor in Secondary Education from Colorado State University and her master’s in Educational Leadership from the University of Colorado at Denver. She lives in Littleton with her husband and 4 children. In her free time, she enjoys Jiu Jitsu, yoga, traveling and anything outdoors.
