At STEM School Highlands Ranch we put innovation at the center of learning to unleash the potential of all students and prepare them for an exponentially changing world.
Evan Voorn is starting his 7th year teaching at STEM and his 12th year as an educator. Before STEM, he lived and worked in Arlington, Texas, teaching German, which is why most STEM students know him as Herr Voorn. While he still speaks German in his free time, he is overjoyed to be teaching his favorite advanced history courses in high school: AP European History and AP World History
In his free time, Herr Voorn enjoys hiking, reading nonfiction books, and listening to rock music. He’s spent his whole life in Boy Scouts, where he earned his Eagle Scout, worked 10 summers at camp, and currently serves as an Assistant Scoutmaster for a troop in Littleton. He is also a proud member of Optimist International, a service organization focused on youth. When not teaching, Herr Voorn is always planning his next adventure somewhere in the mountains of Colorado or the deserts of Utah.
