At STEM School Highlands Ranch we put innovation at the center of learning to unleash the potential of all students and prepare them for an exponentially changing world.
Kathy Dwyer joined the STEM School Highlands Ranch team in August of 2014 as a part-time member of the Learning Support Services department. Eventually, she returned to full-time teaching in the classroom as a Middle School Science teacher. She loves teaching 7th Grade Science and is enjoying her ninth year at STEM.
Before joining STEM, she taught high school and middle school Science, Geography, and English for over 11 years in Australia. She enjoyed being able to be a full-time mom when she and her family moved to Colorado in 2003. Previously she worked part-time remotely for a California-based recruiting company and assisted in running her husband’s IT contracting company both in Australia and in the US.
She has a bachelor’s in Environmental Science from Griffith University (Australia) and a Graduate Diploma of Education from the University of Queensland (Australia). She enjoys spending time with her husband and four children and has loved watching them grow up in the USA. She loves all water sports, volleyball, hiking, gardening, traveling, and watching her children play sports and their other activities.
