Lauchlin Blue started teaching at STEM in the Engineering department in 2021 and founded the biomedical engineering courses in 2023. He teaches the middle school engineering track, as well as the high school biomedical engineering courses. Lauchlin is also an advisor with both middle and high school TSA. Lauchlin earned his bachelor’s in materials science and engineering from Auburn University and his M.S. in materials science and engineering from CU Boulder. He has also worked as a research fellow at the NIH in Baltimore and taught 6th-grade math in Aurora for several years.
Lauchlin is originally from Alabama but moved to Colorado in 2015. In his free time, he enjoys watching college football, snowboarding at Winter Park, and backpacking.
