Lauchlin Blue joined the STEM team in September of 2021 as a Secondary Engineering teacher, teaching both Middle School Engineering and TSA classes for Middle and High School. Before joining STEM, he was a guest teacher for Kokua Education and a sixth-grade Math Teacher at the Academy of Advanced Learning in Aurora, Colo.
He earned his bachelor’s in Materials Engineering from Auburn University in 2015, and his master’s in Materials Science and Engineering from the University of Colorado at Boulder in 2017. He is an Eagle Scout and helped start a youth lacrosse league during his time in Auburn, Ga.
In his free time, he enjoys snowboarding in resorts and the backcountry. He also enjoys backpacking, having done trips to Dinosaur National Monument, Philmont, and the Four Pass Loop.
