At STEM School Highlands Ranch we put innovation at the center of learning to unleash the potential of all students and prepare them for an exponentially changing world.
I am starting my second year here at STEM. I am one of the Middle School Counselors, for all 6-8 grade students whose last names start with letters A-L
I graduated with my undergraduate degree in Psychology in 2021 and then went on to get my master’s degree in Counseling in 2023, both from the University of Tennessee in Knoxville. Along with studying counseling, I have a certificate in Grief, Trauma, and Loss, with a minor in Studio Art.
Concurrently with my job as a Middle School Counselor, I am working towards licensure as a Professional Counselor in the state of Colorado, where I plan to focus on adolescent anxiety, mood disorders, and depression. I find interest and passion in learning about trauma-informed care and creating healthy, trusting relationships with my students and co-workers. I believe that middle school students are at the prime age of discovering who they are and creating an identity for themselves. Being able to support my students alongside their journey towards themselves is something I have a passion for.
Outside of work, I enjoy traveling, watching scary movies, and finding new art projects to work on.
