At STEM School Highlands Ranch we put innovation at the center of learning to unleash the potential of all students and prepare them for an exponentially changing world.
Mona Loptien joined the STEM Team when the Elementary School opened in August of 2016 as an Educational Assistant in Kindergarten. She moved into the Lead Instructional Aide in the Elementary School during the 2020-21 School Year. After stepping away from STEM for a few months, she returned to take on the role of Office Assistant.
Before joining STEM, she ran a general contracting company along with her husband. She has raised two children in Douglas County, one of which started at STEM in 6th grade and graduated last year. She saw how STEM challenged her and helped her find her “people.” The school was a blessing to her, and she yearned to give back, first as a parent volunteer and, eventually, as a staff member. It has been a joy to come to work and help teach these amazing young Spartans!
She loves living in Colorado and spending time outdoors with her family and their two dogs. She enjoys hiking, cooking, baking, gardening, and art.
