At STEM School Highlands Ranch we put innovation at the center of learning to unleash the potential of all students and prepare them for an exponentially changing world.
Michelle Vitale joined STEM on the first day of school in August 2020 as a secondary language arts teacher, specializing in 8th and 9th grade English. Just like the students, Michelle jumped into her position at STEM with excitement and an eagerness to learn. This year, Michelle will teach 9th grade English, middle school English Enrichment, and Yearbook. Before working at STEM, Michelle worked for two years as a high school language arts teacher at an alternative school in Georgia called GIVE West, which served as a behavioral intervention/second-chance school for troubled students. Her experience working with these students, combined with her passion to see students succeed, drive Michelle to continue teaching.
Michelle has a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Secondary English Education, received from Kennesaw State University (KSU) in 2018. She returned to KSU for her graduate studies and earned a Master of Education (M.Ed.) degree in Instructional Technology in December 2021. This graduate program trained her to use technology more effectively with her students as well as to coach fellow teachers in technology use.
