Enrichment News/Updates (12/02/22)

Our Fall Enrichment programs are close to winding down, but we are starting to plan for the Winter/Spring Semester. Check out this week’s updates to see what is happening and what is available for students to register for. We’ll provide an update each week in the Parent Newsletter. As always, please check the Enrichment Calendar on the https://stemk12.org website for the most up-to-date information on event locations, cancelations and time updates.

Elementary Enrichment News

Spring 2023 registrations will be live on the website before Winter Break begins. Enrichment is in the process of transitioning to My School Bucks for after school program registrations that are managed in-house. The switch to My School Bucks will improve the overall experience and process for registering students for Enrichment programs.

Ballet, Hip Hop, Theater and Yoga registrations will remain with Mountain Performing Arts and they are open now.

For planning purposes, find the club dates below.

Mondays

  • Ballet – Music Room: Jan 23 – Apr 24
  • Chess Club – E209: Session 3 Jan 23 – Mar 6; Session 4 Mar 20 – May 8

Tuesdays

  • FLL Explore (Continuing from Fall session through 2/7/23. No new registrations will be available for FLL)
  • Yoga – Music Room: Jan 24 – Apr 18

Wednesdays

  • Theater – Music Room: Jan 25 – Apr 19
  • Fencing – ES Gym: Session 3 Jan 18 – Mar 8; Session 4 Mar 22 – May 10

Thursdays

  • Art Club – Art room: Dates TBD
  • K-2 Game Club – Vanessa’s room: Dates TBD
  • Hip Hop – Music Room: Jan 26 – Apr 20

There will not be a Play It All Sports program for the Spring 2023 semester.

Secondary Enrichment News

Best Robotics Regional Competition Dec 3rd & 4th

This year’s Best Robotics Competition is hosted by the Colorado School of Mines. Opening Ceremonies begin at 9:00 am on Sunday with semi-finals starting at 1:30 pm. Come by and experience the epic displays of school spirit, the excitement of robots in action and an imaginative interactive presentation of this year’s manufacturing theme.

The STEM TSA Chapter is officially closing its big book this week! Every student must be registered for the club and on the big book by the end of this week.

Students can sign up for events at the general meeting this week.

Registration can be done on the STEM Enrichment page or through these two steps: step 1 & step 2.

Remember! Students MUST be signed up and registered by the end of the week or they will not be able to compete in TSA.
