The STEM Boys’ Soccer Team secured its first win of the season with a 2-0 victory over William Smith High School on Monday afternoon.
After a rough start to this season and remembering a tough defeat by this team last season, the Spartans players were a bit nervous about this game. However, they still played with their whole heart.
Senior Aidan Morrison scored for the Spartans early in the first half, with the assist going to freshman Manik Thapa. Before the half, Thapa had his own chance to score after being assisted by junior Riccardo Folgoni Borsa and freshman Matt Moore.
The Spartans’ defense maintained the lead throughout the entire second half. The next game is Wednesday at 4 p.m. at DSST: Conservatory Green.
