Secondary Enrichment News

MS/HS Rubik's Cube Club

Thursdays, from 3-3:45 p.m. – Room 134

A club to spend time together learning new Rubik’s puzzles and improving solving speeds. Also a great Club for having fun, socializing, and creating a safe environment. We will meet in room 134 (Mr. P.’s room) on Thursdays from 3-3:45 p.m. Bring your own cubes!

MS/HS Chess Club Volunteer Opportunity

Chess Club is looking for one or two parent volunteers to support/monitor our secondary Chess Club. Mr. Reichmuth would like to work with a parent volunteer to help support the 8-12 students that regularly attend the club on Wednesdays from 3-4:30 p.m. through the remainder of the year. Chess experience isn’t necessary but appreciated. If you are interested, please contact melanie.fitzroy@stemk12.org.

TSA Donations and Parent Volunteer Needed!!

Knock out some volunteer hours by supporting STEM at TSA Colorado’s State Conference from February 23rd-25th at the DTC Marriott. Having a student in TSA is not a requirement to help.

Opportunities:

MS Basketball 7th/8th Grade Boys and Girls April-May Season

Due to the tremendous interest in MS 7th/8th Grade Basketball, STEM is joining South Suburban Parks & Recreation League. The cost will be $200 per student. This will include league fees, practice courts and jerseys. We expect to host three 7th/8th-grade boys’ teams and at least one 7th/8th-grade girls’ team. We can look at adding another girls’ team if there is enough interest. Contact melanie.fitzroy@stemk12.org with questions.
