Summer with STEM School

Registrations are now open for a few of the summer camps at STEM and our club partner facilities, including Camp Invention, PALS Chess Camp and Fencing Camp (Fencing & Jedi Training).

4th Quarter Enrichment Clubs – Spots Available

There are a few spots left in Monday and Thursday Chess Clubs as well as Wednesday Craft Club and Fencing Club.

Several spring elementary enrichment registrations are now open including chess, crafts, fencing, hip hop, poms & cheer, theater production and yoga. Opening after the break: Girls Who Code (grades 3-5) on Tuesdays starting in late January.

Join Canvas as an observer of your student! Many of the after school activities have an associated Canvas course where advisors post important information.

MathCounts – STEM School Students Compete for State Championship

Our middle school MathCounts team competed in the MathCounts State Championship on Saturday, March 16, at Strum Hall on the University of Denver campus. Congratulations to 7th grader Sylvester H! He is now rank #23 in the state! Thank you to Ms. Holly Li for coaching our students through this successful competition season.

ULA Student Rocket Payload Competition is BACK!

The ULA Student Rocket Payload class is back again for 2024! For more information about the program itself. Mr. Jeff Dunker, a retired ULA engineer, and Mr. Jeff McLain, who is currently working with ULA, will mentor STEM students through the concept, design, build, and launch of the payload. Classes will start Monday, March 25th, in high school room 132 and continue to meet on Mondays after school. The payload launch happens in July. Registration is officially open. Scholarships are available for families in need of financial assistance.

FRC Team Impulse – Colorado Regionals Success!!

Huge congratulations to our FRC Team, Team 4418 IMPULSE for their amazing performance at the 2024 FRC Colorado Regional. 4418 placed 6th in the regional, the highest our team has ever performed, and won the Excellence in Engineering for their amazing robot design. Congratulations to 4418 mentor Dakota Mann for winning the Woodie Flowers Award. This award recognizes outstanding mentors for their contribution to the students they mentor throughout their FRC Career. This award classifies Dakota to go to the Worlds competition for recognition as an outstanding mentor. This is the second time, back to back, that mentors on 4418 have received this award. Please show your support by congratulating the students, mentors, and parents that have helped to make the team IMPULSE that amazing team that it is.
