Enrichment is Hiring!

Enrichment is hiring for an After School Program Assistant Part-time. This role is responsible for elementary after-school program support and management of STEM School’s Secondary After School Care program for middle and high school students. Shift is 20 hours/week from 2- 6 p.m. Monday through Friday, when students are at school; opportunities for additional hours may be available during non-student workdays. Establish rapport with youth; provide guidance, role modeling to students and direction for their leadership development, artistic skills, physical activity engagement and academic progress. Support Enrichment Coordinator with Enrichment program-related tasks assigned. Please contact melanie.fitzroy@stemk12.org for more information.

Second Quarter Registrations

Registrations for the second quarter Chess Club, Craft Clubs, Game Club for grades 3-5, and Fencing will open Friday, Sept. 22, 2023. Parents who complete the waitlist forms before 11:59 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 17, will be sent a special link to register starting Monday, Sept. 18.

Battle of the Books (Grades 3-6)

Information Meeting on Thursday, Sept. 21, from 2:45-3:30 p.m. – Room E221 (Parents are welcome to attend)

The book list is available for the upcoming Battle of the Books competition. Students that are interested in this annual competition will want to review the list as soon as they are able. Mrs. Ackley and Ms. Ayala will share the process for how students will be selected for the 3-4 and 5-6 grade teams in the coming weeks. The Douglas County Library limits schools to 2 teams of 7 participants per team. Please watch the parent newsletter for updates.

Registration is now open for many of the Fall First Quarter after-school Enrichment programs at STEM Elementary.

STEM Elementary Choir - Fall 2023

Ms. Casab is excited to launch an after-school choir program at STEM School. The Fall Elementary Choir program is available to students in 4th and 5th grades. The program will be completed on December 14th with an evening performance.

Club registrations will begin to open up for secondary students quickly as they can be created. Most clubs will begin meeting in late August or early September.

TSA Middle School Engineering Safety Test

Tuesday, Sept. 19, from 3-4:30 p.m. – Room 123

On Tuesday, Sept. 19, students in TSA who have not completed their safety test in an Engineering Class, must take a Safety Test. Students who have completed their safety testing in an Engineering Class do not need to attend TSA after school on Tuesday. They may return to the club on September 26.
