Dear STEM School Highlands Ranch Families,
We are excited to announce that Michelle Gasser has accepted the position of Director of Professional Development at STEM School Highlands Ranch. Gasser started at STEM in the Fall of 2017 as a fourth-grade teacher. Last school year, Gasser served as a third/fourth-grade teacher and moved into the role of Professional Development Coordinator in the Spring.
“Michelle is an exceptional innovator in and out of the classroom and I’m so excited to see her take this next step in her educational career,” said Dr. Penny Eucker, Executive Director. “Her dedication to STEM’s mission and vision, along with her care for the success of our teachers is to be admired and commended.”
The Director of Professional Development oversees the coaching program at STEM, provides ongoing training and support for coaches, mentors and Problem-Based Learning Specialists, and maintains and updates the STEM Professional Development program across all of K-12. Gasser will also work closely with building leaders and the Director of Curriculum and Accountability to support school-specific coaching and professional development needs.
“I am very excited about this role and building a collaborative staff culture at STEM,” Gasser said. “I am most excited about developing our new coaching program and how that will support teachers.”
Gasser will be a part of the STEM Leadership Team. Click here to view the complete Leadership Team.
