Monitoring Weather Impacts from Winter Storm

Monitoring Weather

Dear STEM School Highlands Ranch Families and Students,

Your STEM Leadership Team is closely monitoring the Winter Storm that is expected to roll in this evening and into tomorrow morning, and its impacts on our operations.

We wanted to share the following reminders with you that were shared via our Weekly Parent newsletter earlier in the year.

  • Late Start Schedule: STEM does not mimic the Late Start Policy and schedule put forth by DCSD. If Douglas County calls for a Delayed Start, STEM’s Virtual School Day Policy will take effect, and teachers will communicate with students on how and when to access their assignments.
  • Snow Day: If DCSD calls for a Snow Day, we will also be closed for a Snow Day.

We are in close and constant communication with DCSD and will update families as soon as we receive word on any decision made. We aim to inform families as soon as possible so you can adjust accordingly. If an update is not shared tonight, we hope to send a message to families no later than 5 a.m.

Please reach out with any questions to communications@stemk12.org.

Thank you,

Nicole Bostel, Communications Director
