Dear STEM School Highlands Ranch Families,
We thank you for being a part of our STEM community and value your efforts in helping us continually improve. We believe that our continual collaborative efforts will support our growth and improve STEM for your children. Please take the time to read more below about our School Accountability Committee (SAC), how their work also supports our school, and how you can impact change with just a few minutes of your time.
What is the SAC Committee?
The purpose of the SAC is to inform, encourage and provide opportunities for parents and community members to be involved in the planning and evaluating the school’s instructional program and quality improvement processes. The SAC makes recommendations concerning the School’s performance, improvement, priority improvement, or turnaround plan and meets to discuss implementation of the School’s plan and other progress pertinent to STEM’s accreditation contract with the Board of Education. The SAC also makes recommendations to the directors for prioritizing spending of school money.
Each year, the SAC publishes a parent pulse survey in the Fall and a full-length survey in the Spring. These surveys are critical in helping our SAC communicate our community’s feedback and school needs.
This year’s SAC has made a few minor changes to the Fall Pulse Survey. You will now have the option to take one survey PER HOUSEHOLD or one survey PER CHILD. This change was made based on parent feedback to make the process more efficient and increase participation.
How to Support Change and Growth
Please take the time to fill out the 2023-24 SAC Survey. Your voice is valued and appreciated! Please reflect on this current school year so far when completing the survey.
Thank you for your time in completing this survey. We appreciate your feedback!

The STEM SAC and LynAnn Kovalesky, Executive Director
