STEM's new gym utilized for theater production

Under the sea!
Check out how our gym is being converted this week for STEM’s Theater Production of “The Little Mermaid Jr.”. First show is Thursday and runs through Saturday. Here’s a description of the production:
Journey “under the sea” with Ariel and her aquatic friends in Disney’s The Little Mermaid JR., adapted from Disney’s Broadway production and the motion picture. Based on one of Hans Christian Andersen’s most beloved stories, Disney’s The Little Mermaid JR. is an enchanting look at the sacrifices we all make for love and acceptance.
In a magical underwater kingdom, the beautiful young mermaid, Ariel, longs to leave her ocean home — and her fins — behind and live in the world above. But first, she’ll have to defy her father, King Triton, make a deal with the evil sea witch, Ursula, and convince the handsome Prince Eric that she’s the girl whose enchanting voice he’s been seeking.

STEM Track and Field athletes shine at The Huskie Invitational

stem track and field
A STEM Track and Field team update from Coach Kmak:
“Hello,
Another meet down in the books. The Huskie Invitational, like many others, was a cold one. The weather was bitter with no sun in sight but, thankfully, we didn’t get caught in the snow that appeared in the evening. The meet director tried his hardest to make this happen by speeding things up with an earlier start and quickly transitioning each event. Otherwise, we bore the weather by bundling up, putting on our long sleeves and gloves, and staying protected under our amazing tent.
Our athletes performed great overall. One of our athletes, Antoni Parol, actually won his race in his heat. It was a cool moment cheering him on as he ran to the finish line and tackling him as a team at the end. We were all on cloud 9 for Antoni.
Several athletes broke their personal rates. I noticed across the board an increase in our times at this meet. As a whole, we are currently trying to work on giving it our 100% at the end straight stretch or last few meters of our races, and I saw that at this meet with my athletes. Our PRs are coming up and that’s what’s important. We are making growth.
I have to say it was a great meet with a great team. I’m always proud of them and proud to be their coach. I can’t believe we’re close to the end of our season!
Thank you,
Coach Kmak”
