A special thanks to Deputy Gabe and Judge Glojek for taking the time to talk to Mrs. Jackson’s third grade class about local governments!
The two talked about how local governments are structured and the roles that citizens play in their local municipalities.

A big step in the design for STEM's new gymnasium

The gym flooring of STEM’s new CHSAA gymnasium has arrived!  This week, workers positioned the stacks of wood panels in the gym and are preparing them for installation.  The installation of the gym floors will begin in November and we can’t wait to see the end result!  Additionally, sets of rolling barn doors have arrived which will be used for storage areas near the gym.  Keep it right here for more exciting updates on the construction progress.

STEM students get hands on history lesson of Dia de los Muertos

This week STEM’s Secondary Spanish class went on a fun field trip to the Aurora Fox Center to take part in learning the history of Dia de los Muertos. They even took to the stage to do some dancing!
Some background of the event: “Dia de Los Muertos Celebration with Fiesta Colorado & Huitzilopochtli Aztec Dance Showcasing their talent, passion, and artistic expression of Dia de Los Muertos, Azteca grupo Huitzilopochtli, founded by the late Capitan Raul Chavez from Mexico joined in the celebration along with Colorado’s iconic Ballet Folklorico dance troupe Fiesta Colorado, under the direction of Jeanette Trujillo.”
