Empathy

Dr. Laske is very patient and encouraging! When we get frustrated, she meets us where we are helps us see that we can do it, and encourages us to keep trying and that success is within reach. This is so helpful!

She is so nice to me and very loving. I don’t know what I would have done without her.

Rhett Butler

Respect

He is always really kind and fun, and he lets us have fun during class as long as we respect him. He almost always gives kids opportunities to earn candy, and his assignments are super chill.

Hannah Vest

Responsibility

For a new teacher, Hannah is a stand out with her classroom management, instruction, and communication. Bravo! That is not an easy feat.

Headshot of Yacina Tamendjari

Yacina Tamendjari

Respect

Mrs. Tamendjari is incredibly reliable. Before class starts, she gives a short run-down of the class, the homework, future quizzes, and other reminders. During the class, she explains each piece of information slowly and carefully, asking questions frequently to keep the students engaged. When she is done with the section, she lets the students work on the homework and other assignments. She makes sure to talk to everybody who needs help with their grades. Not only this, but she is not an intimidating teacher to talk to. She lets her students ask questions and is always accepting when they come to her for help. Mrs. Tamendjari is incredibly responsible and empathetic, but most importantly, respectful.

“Huge shoutout to Mr. Gomez, our amazing music teacher. The secondary concert was absolutely beautiful! It’s incredible to see how much talent you bring out in your students, especially at a STEM school. The dedication and hard work were truly inspiring. Bravo!
The orchestra’s rendition of “Crazy Train” was the highlight!
