Center for Strength Hosting Events For Five Year Anniversary of May 7th

Looking ahead to May 7th.
The Center for Strength has several events planned for the month of May as we look ahead to the five year anniversary of May 7th and also, the closure of the center.
On May 3rd, Center for Strength will be hosting a blood drive from 8:30 a.m.-12:15 p.m. in their parking lot.
On May 7th, we welcome you to join our community to gather for a day of remembrance from 1 p.m.-4 p.m. at Civic Green Park. One of the main events that day is ‘Kendrick’s Kindness Movement’. Designated rocks at Civic Green Park will be painted to create a mural in honor of Kendrick Castillo. You can also stop by the center and pick up a small rock to paint it with positive messaging or artwork and keep it with you or give to someone who could use a smile.
You are also welcome to stop by the center to visit ‘Kendrick’s Corner’, a space within the building dedicated to his memory.
On May 31st, we invite you to bid farewell to The Center for Strength from 1 p.m.-4 p.m. The event will include games, rock art, a crepe truck and of course, sharing what will be a beautiful display from ‘Kendrick’s Kindness Movement’.
Check out this video promo for more details and we look forward to coming together with you for all of these events during this month of reflection and healing.

STEM Class of 2024 Students Take One Final Lap Around Campus During Senior Walk

One final lap.
The STEM Senior Class of 2024 was honored with the annual Senior Walk. This is a tradition at STEM where our graduating class walks a lap around the entire school, while wearing their college or STEM spirit gear.
Along the way, the seniors are celebrated by staff and students of all grade levels. For many of our seniors, the walk is like stepping through a time machine, exchanging smiles with familiar faces including dedicated teachers who helped them make it to this point.
Congratulations seniors on graduation and this next exciting chapter in your lives!
