Another busy week in Spring sports! The weather continues to cooperate, although the wind reared its ugly head early in the week. Let’s hope that the snow expected this weekend is gone by next week. We need the fields!
Girls Soccer has had an incredibly tough week. They played games on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and again on Friday. They defeated Aurora West College Prep on Monday to regain the Spartan Helmet! On Tuesday, the JV defeated Arrupe Jesuit. Wednesday saw the Varsity take on College View and battle to a 2-2 tie against a very good team. The ladies play again on Friday at Sheridan HS. Good Luck, ladies. Thursday, April 25, is SENIOR Night! The team will be playing DSST: Conservatory Green AT Marcy Park. Come out and support the Spartans!
Boys Varsity and JV Volleyball played Coronado on Monday and College View on Wednesday, losing both matches despite some competitive play. The team plays again on Saturday, April 20, at Rangeview HS in a tournament. They are at STEM on Monday vs. Windsor Charter for their Senior night. Come to the game and cheer the team on to victory!
Lacrosse played tough matchups against Castle View and Valor Christian this week. Both were good teams that played a high level of lacrosse. The team lost both games. They play again on Monday, April 22, vs. Boulder HS and then again on Wednesday against St. Mary’s Academy in Colorado Springs, finishing out the week at Echo Park Stadium vs. Chaparral HS. Good Luck, Gentlemen.
eSports has concluded its season. The Kart team ended up just outside of the playoffs, but the SMASH team made it to the second round, losing a tough matchup with Mountain Vista 3-1. Way to go, eSports Spartans!
There are only a few weeks left in the Spring season. Let’s finish strong. Go Spartans!

Tickets for home Basketball and Boys’ Volleyball will now be sold online through GoFan. Click the button to purchase your tickets online. For basketball, prices are:
- Adults – $6
- Senior/Student/Military – $3
- Season Pass – Adult $40, Family $75 (up to four people)
- STEM Students and Staff are FREE with STEM ID
- DCSD Staff are free with DCSD ID
Volunteers get FREE admission! Passes are good for all regular season basketball home games. All tickets/passes include both JV and Varsity games on same day. Proceeds from tickets go to STEM Athletics to directly benefit our student athletes. Cash will still be accepted, but paperless via GoFan is preferred.

The STEM Spartans Basketball and Volleyball games will now be available to watch on a phone/computer/TV! Games can be viewed live or recorded (video on demand). This service is available anywhere the internet is available. Not only can you see ALL STEM home games, but any teams with the NFHS network we travel to are available as well! All home games, Varsity and JV are recorded. As a bonus, a portion of subscriptions are returned by NFHS to STEM Athletics to directly benefit our Spartan student-athletes.
