Monitoring Weather Impacts from Winter Storm

Monitoring Weather

Dear STEM School Highlands Ranch Families, Students and Staff,

Your STEM Leadership Team is closely monitoring the Winter Storm and its impacts on our operations. DCSD will hold a Weather Call this afternoon to determine the impacts of the storm, and if any adjustments need to be made to school-day operations for Thursday, March 14.

We wanted to share with you the following reminders that we’ve shared via our Weekly Parent Newsletter.

Late Start Schedule: STEM does not mimic the Late Start Policy and schedule put forth by DCSD. If Douglas County calls for a Delayed Start, STEM’s Virtual School Day Policy will take effect, and teachers will communicate with students on how and when to access their assignments.

Snow Day: If DCSD calls for a Snow Day, STEM will also be on a snow day.

We are in close and constant communication with DCSD and will update families as soon as we receive word on any decision that is made. We aim to inform families as soon as possible so you can adjust accordingly.

Please reach out with any questions to

Thank you,

Nicole Bostel, Communications Director
